現在、一人が応募してくれたが、もう一人がいたらいいと思います。明日中返
事があればターンブル研を優先しますが、明日の朝から別の先生の学生も募集
しますので火曜日から先着優先にしようと思います。

At present, one person has responded, but it would be good (and I have
plenty of funds for) one more TA.  If you respond tomorrow I will give
precedence to students in my lab, but I will be recruiting from other
professors's labs starting tomorrow morning, and from Tuesday it will
be first response wins.

今年、在日／在韓米軍の高校生向けの「STEMinar」（科学・技術・工学・数学
の集中講義と実習）を指導する予定です。ＴＡを２名募集しています。２０日
まで書類を作成提出したいと思います。STEMinarの内容については
http://turnbull.sk.tsukuba.ac.jp/Teach/STEMinar/2018/ に参考してくださ
い。学生たちの言語は主に英語ですが、ＴＡの仕事は学生の指導よりも、準備
（いろな設備と模範データの用意と分析）と当日の雑務となります。スケジュー
ルは

８月下旬／９月上旬　２０時間（目安、課題に必要な知識のトレーニングを含み、都合による）
９月１０日（月）　　　８時間
９月１１日（火）　　　８時間
９月１４日（金）　　　４時間（実際下回る：発表会＋与賞式）

「Course Description」を見たら詳しく分かると思うが、多少指導に加わる人
を優先します。それに、そして一部の準備課題に、Twitter API、 Python、 
SciKit-Learn、 とJupyterプログラッミング環境のスキルがよいですが、「準
備」の期間中それを（ＴＡ課題として）勉強できるのです。勉強が必要ない場
合、お得でしょう。

アルバイトの依頼書類を提出するとき、
パスポート（またはID／写真ページのコピー、ビザページのコピー）
在留カード（または表・裏のコピー）
学生証明書（または表・裏のコピー）
印鑑（振込依頼書に必要）
が必要ので持参してもらいたいと思います。

This year I will be supervising high school students associated with
the US military resident in Japan and Korea in a STEMinar (Science,
Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) project.  I am recruiting
two TAs, and need to submit the paperwork by 8/20.  You can find more
information about the project at

The students' primary language is English, as you'd expect, but the
TAs' work is not expected to be guidance of participating students as
much as preparation (of equipment, example data, and example
analyses), and various chores during the sessions.  The schedule is

Late August/early September:  20hr (high estimate, learning the software
                                   included, at common convenience)
September 10 (Monday):        8hr
September 11 (Tuesday):       8hr
September 14 (Friday):        4hr (high estimate, presentation and award
                                  ceremony)

I will give preference to people who already have some knowledge of
nay of the Twitter API, Python, SciKit-Learn, and Jupyter.  You can
check the URL above for more details.  If not, there will be time
during the preparation period to study them (during paid time).  If
you don't need to study, that's a plus for you.

In order to submit the forms for payment, please bring
Passport (or copies of the ID/photo page, and the visa page)
Residence card (or copies of front and back)
Student ID card (or copies of front and back)
Inkan (stamp, for the electronic funds transfer request)
